Since 1991 I am breeding Westies on a small scale. All my Westies have ever lived with us in the house, I never have had kennels or crates, because they have always been real members of our family. Since the beginning I have had the policy to breed only with healthy dogs, full of character. "To get the best you must start with the best" I was told and started with Westies from the origin - Great Britain. With this slogan and a lucky choice of males I succeeded early. Today we only have one Maverick's left at home: Macie (Ch. Maverick's T for Texas).
My puppies are raised within the family and are learning since their early days all situations from everyday life. We are spending a lot of time with them together throughout our house and backyard. When they are leaving at 10 weeks, they have got of course their first shots, are dewormed and micro-chipped and are almost house trained.
After living since birth in Germany, we immigrated to Calgary in January 2007. I am
a member of good standing to both, the Canadian Kennel Club and the Canadian West Highland White Terrier Club and I fully support the mission statement of the CWHWTC Code of Ethics: (extract only)
